Pass the Esso filling station on your left.
Take next left A710 signed for Kippford/Colvend and Solway Coast at this point you are approximately 1.75 miles away. Go past the forest entrances for Town Wood Car Park and the Main Dalbeattie 7 Stanes Trailhead. The entrance to the farm is then the 3rd left...approx 400 metres - approach slowly as we are just past a bend.
Don't worry if you miss us there is a layby 250 metres down the road where you can turn around.
By Public Transport
The nearest rail station is Dumfries (15 miles away), from there it is a bus (route 501/502) and taxi ride or 1.5mile walk to the site. There is also a limited bus service (route 372/a) which takes the coast road from Dumfries and drops you off at the site entrance.

We are a small family business, who started with four cabins in 2008. Slowly and sympathetically we've grown, but remain committed to looking after the wildlife that co-habits our 'lovely little bit of ground'. Our few horses and Herdwick sheep who roam around the place will keep an eye on you as you explore and adventure.
We are supported by a great team who look after housekeeping, maintenance and help running the activities onsite.
We do our very best to make sure you have a memorable great stay.
To secure a booking we need a deposit of either £50 or 30% of the price of your stay. The outstanding balance is then due 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. We accept payment by VISA & Mastercard.
We have a 2 night minimum stay.
Entry time on arrival date is from 2:30pm. Please advise us if you are arriving after 7pm. There is a late arrival supplement of £10 for arrivals after 9:30pm.
Checkout on the day of departure is 11am.
Please note: If you have booked Contained Bliss, pod or bothy with the hot tub and are arriving after 7pm, you will not be able to use the hot tub until the following day, unless you have ordered the pre-light service.
Our bothies and cabins are always cleaned between stays but we operate a 'leave it how you find it' policy. If the bothies or cabins are left untidy, littered or excessively dirty, we reserve the right to make an additional charge.
Upon arrival, prior to key collection, a deposit is required on a credit or debit card (£50 per cabin, £100 per Bothy/Contained Bliss).
We are a designated quiet site, so are unsuitable for noisy or boisterous groups - following guest feedback we are now a no music site. Please bring headphones if you want to listen to music. We do not accept stag or hen groups.

Sorry but we don't accept camper vans or caravans.
We are working to provide EV charging but at this time we cannot offer charging for EV's - specifically they must not be charged from your accommodation supply points
All day guests must be pre-arranged. If a day guest is just popping in to meet you, there is no charge. If they are spending the day at Gorsebank there is a charge of £5 per person.
Day Guests must park their vehicle/s in the main reception car park and should vacate the site no later than 9pm.
Well-behaved and quiet dogs are welcome at Gorsebank and can stay in the Wigwams or Jumbo Pods. Dogs are not permitted to stay or be located in or around the other accommodation.
Dogs must not be left unattended in cabins. As we are a sheep farm, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the farm, including around your accommodation. Please bring a suitable lead and ground spike. Dogs can be exercised off the lead in the neighbouring forest - a 10 minute walk from Gorsebank. Please clean up after your dog.
Please bring a cushion/mat for your dog to sleep on and avoid them climbing on the cushions.
Hot Tubs are available with our Pods and Bothies. You need to receive a hot tub induction prior to use. The latest time we undertake hot tub inductions is 7pm. If you arrive after this time you will not be able to use your hot tub until the following day.
We offer an optional hot tub prelighting service - £15.00
Wood fired hot tubs take between 1.5hrs - 2.5hrs to heat up. Once lit they require topping up with fuel every 30 mins until they reach the required temperature.
Our prelighting service will light your wood fired hot tub 1.5hrs prior to your stated arrival time. We'll then top it up after 30 mins and then again when you arrive. Leaving you to finish off the final bit of heating up the hot tub when you are settling in and unpacking.
It is REALLY IMPORTANT that you provide as accurate as possible an arrival time (between 3.30pm & 7pm) so that the hot tub is not lit too early or too late. Once you select the hot tub pre-lighting option with your booking, we'll email you to confirm your arrival time.
You can advise us of any change to your arrival time 7pm on the day prior to arrival (sorry but we can't amend after this time).

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept dogs?
A maximum of 2 well behaved and quiet dogs are permitted in Jumbo Pods & Wigwams. They must be on a lead at all times whilst on the farm and must not be left unaccompanied in accommodation. Dogs are not accepted in or around other accommodation.
Which properties have wood fired hot tubs?
All our Pods, Bothies & Contained Bliss have wood fired hot tubs. Our Wigwams don't have hot tubs.
Noise & Groups?
We are designated a quiet site so are unsuitable for noisy boisterous groups. We specifically don't accept stag, hen 18th and 21st birthday groups. If you disrupt other guests you will be charged extra to compensate them.
What time can I check in from?
2:30pm - please advise us if you will be arriving after 7pm. Guests with hot tubs booked require an induction - the latest time we undertake inductions is 7pm. If you arrive after this time you won't be able to use the hot tub until the next day.
On check in / key collection we require a pre-auth of £50 per cabin or £100 per bothy/Contained Bliss to cover the key and 'leave it how you find it' deposit.
What time do I need to check out by?
11am - sorry but we don't offer late check out - COVID cleaning now takes longer.
Leave it how you find it
Whilst all properties are cleaned between stays we operate a leave it how you find it policy. If accommodation is left excessively dirty or littered we reserve the right to make an extra charge.
Can I cancel my booking and get a refund?
All booking are accepted on a firm basis only. We do not accept cancellations, however we do offer the option where we try and re-let your booking, and if successful we can provide you with a refund less an admin fee.
Which properties have power / heater / lights?
All properties have power, heaters and lights.
What about Toilets/Showers?
All accommodation have their own private toilets and showers allocated to them at the facilities hub, so you don't have to share with anyone from other accommodation. Contained Bliss has en-suite toilet and shower.
How do I get a price for a stay?
To obtain a price for your stay click the check availability link and start creating a booking, adding in the extras required. It will show you the price for your stay and deposit due.
Is there parking onsite?
Free parking is available on site for one vehicle near your cabin. Additional vehicles may need to be parked in the overflow parking area.
Do you have WIFI?
Due to our rural location we have really low capacity broadband service. There is an excellent 4G signal coverage for your mobile devices. Wifi is only available in the bothy and Contained Bliss.
